• Reduce poverty by creating new work opportunities and community support for people in developing countries

People Tree has built a reputation as a major force in capacity support and technical assistance for artisan groups in the developing world, and helps them overcome barriers, so that they can sell their products in quality-conscious markets like Japan and UK. 

• Promote environmental projects and organic cotton farming 

The water effluent from yarn and fabric dyeing is often very polluting of local water courses.  The Foundation has effective and economical systems for managing waste water from small scall dye units.

• Advance education and skills training​

The Foundation developed guidance and template on  ‘How to do Fair Trade’ for Fashion and Craft business and hope that high street brands learn from our pioneering work and implement improvements in their practices.
